Meet Dr. Jim Corcoran
The staff at Pinehurst Endodontics is led by Dr. Jim Corcoran, Board Certified Endodontist. Dr. Corcoran moved to Pinehurst, NC in June of 2008.
After completing undergraduate study at the University of New Mexico, Dr. Corcoran graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City Dental School in June of 2001. The following year he completed an Advanced Education Residency in General Dentistry and subsequently received his certificate of Endodontics in 2005. He achieved his board certification in 2008.
Dr. Corcoran is a member of the International Association of Dental Traumatology, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the American Board of Endodontics, the College of Diplomates, and the Southeastern Endodontic Association. His North Carolina memberships include the North Carolina Dental Society, the Tar Heel Endodontic Association, the Lee County Dental Society, and the Sandhills Symposium.
In his spare time, Dr. Corcoran enjoys spending time with his wife and their children.
Meet Dr. Eric Ashley
Dr. Ashley joined the staff of Pinehurst Endodontics in 2022 after retiring from a fulfilling career in the Army. Dr. Ashley attended Le Moyne College in New York as an ROTC cadet. He went on to attend dental school at Case Western Reserve University. Upon graduation, Dr. Ashley completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency.
Dr. Ashley was assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, NC. In 2007, he received his certificate of Endodontics. Dr. Ashley and his family had assignments at Fort Drum, Fort Eustis, The Defense Health Headquarters in Falls Church, VA and Fort Benning. Dr. Ashley also served as an endodontic mentor at the general dentistry residency that he attended. He achieved his board certification in 2018. Dr. Ashley’s final assignment in the Army was as the Chief of Endodontics at Fort Benning.
In his spare time, Dr. Ashley enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 children.
